About Us

The main aim of Electronic Music Malta (EMM) is to take electronic music to new places and audiences in Malta and Gozo.

EMM shall strive to promote electronic music in all of its forms in Malta such aspects include: electronic music performance, composition, production, recording, engineering and mastering. EMM will also raise awareness on education, documentation, restoration of equipment, innovation in this form of music and joining up of electronic music with other moving or static art forms.

This voluntary organisation has the following objectives:

• to bring together the local electronic music artist community by also promoting diversity and inclusion be it cultural, social, political and geographical through artistic projects and other related initiatives;
• to promote initiatives that encourage research and innovation in music and other related art forms;
• to champion education on the innovative aspect of music composition, recording and  production at both ends of the knowledge and age spectrum.

EMM is legally recognised in Malta as a Voluntary Organisation (VO 1155) and is run by an executive committee.

The current committee has been in office since April 2022 and consists of the following members:

Edwin Balzan (Chairman), Keith Farrugia (Secretary), Toni Gialanze (Treasurer), Owen Bezzina, Martina Camilleri, Adnan Hadziselimovic, Joseph Felice and Caspian Rabone.
